As close as Miami has to a fashion museum, family-run Parodi Costume Collection in the mainland’s Edgewater neighborhood owns over 10,000 pieces dating from the 1800s to today. The Winter 2025/26 exhibit “In Praise of Ma” focuses on the philosophy behind Japanese fashion designers Rei Kawakubo, Issey Miyake, Junya Watanabe and Yohji Yamamoto.

Can’t choose a cocktail? Monterrey Bar’s “sign-ature” drink menu based on zodiac signs makes it easy. Of course, classic sips are also available to complement new bites like yellowtail temaki and pork belly skewers at this elegantly decorated vinyl lounge tucked off the Standard Spa, Miami Beach’s lobby.

While many people are familiar with Miami Beach’s multi-use Beachwalk, locals also frequent its less discovered Baywalk. Currently spanning 14th Street to Lincoln Terrace along Biscayne Bay, the project will eventually link the South of Fifth and West Avenue neighborhoods with an artist-designed pedestrian bridge and continuous path.

South Beach’s Sunshine Coffee is all about the process. Made-with-love coffees drinks like the Miami Iced (the OG) begin with locally roasted beans. More chilled concoctions (yuzu hibiscus lemonade, the Morning Margarita smoothie) as well as bagels with a schmear, breakfast sandwiches and salads also bring smiles.

Shows, which tend to sell out, star myriad performers including Broadway belters, comedians, jazz musicians, piano players and drag queens. Regulars also come for the great food by neighboring sister restaurant Silverlake Bistro.
